Project Update: 601 S West End Street – Aspen, CO
Reporting Period: April 1, 2026 - April 29, 2026
Construction activity at 601 S West End Street began on April 3, 2026. Crews have initiated both the demolition and early construction phases of the project. Current work includes the removal of concrete and shrubs, as well as preparation of existing stucco surfaces for refinishing on the building exterior and within the stairwells.
Additionally, crews have begun framing new exterior wood bump-outs as part of the building’s architectural enhancements.
Work to be Completed in the Coming Weeks
The project is now in full swing. Over the next several weeks, crews will focus on refinishing the exterior stucco and advancing the framing of new wood accents toward completion. Progress will continue steadily through the remodeling phases of the project.
Community & Site Commitment
The project team remains committed to maintaining a clean and orderly job site, both within and outside the construction fencing, to minimize impact on the surrounding neighborhood—including the adjacent parking areas along S West End Street.
Safety remains our top priority. Aspen Valley Construction strongly emphasizes the importance of keeping a safe distance from the site. 601 S West End Street is an active construction zone, and we ask all residents and visitors to stay clear of the fencing to ensure their safety.
