Project Update: 601 S West End Street – Aspen, CO
Reporting Period: April 30, 2026 - May 11, 2026
Over the past two weeks, crews have focused on refinishing the exterior stucco and advancing the framing of the new wood accents toward completion. Remodeling work has continued to progress steadily throughout the project. New concrete block walls have been installed, stucco preparation for the final coat has been completed on three of the building’s four sides, and framing for the new wood bump-out is nearing completion. New concrete has also been poured.
Work to be Completed in the Coming Weeks
In the coming weeks, crews will complete the remaining framing and continue final preparation work for the exterior stucco system. Application of the stucco finish coat is expected to begin, bringing the building closer to its completed exterior appearance. Work will also begin on installation of the new stone veneer at the base of the building, while additional site and exterior detail work continues to move forward alongside the ongoing remodeling efforts.

The project team remains committed to maintaining a clean and orderly job site, both within and outside the construction fencing, to minimize impact on the surrounding neighborhood—including the adjacent parking areas along S West End Street.
Safety remains our top priority. Aspen Valley Construction strongly emphasizes the importance of keeping a safe distance from the site. 601 S West End Street is an active construction zone, and we ask all residents and visitors to stay clear of the fencing to ensure their safety.
